Google adds social "gadgets" to iGoogle

Google seems to take another shot at Facebook with the addition of social gadgets to the portfolio of things one can install on their iGoogle page. Titles include many you might expect, such as Scrabble and Chess. But there are a lot of titles that don't seem particularly social at all, such as Today's Horoscope and NPR.

I never spend any real amount of time on my iGoogle page so I can't say that I am personally excited about these new gadgets. But then again I don't play any Facebook apps either so I'm probably not their target audience.
