Facebook Opens Up Search Results, Sort Of

I checked it with Facebook this morning to find a message from the system:

They are opening up 'search' to visitors of the front page, making it accessible by search engines as well. A quick check verifies that its quite easy to turn this off if you don't want your Facebook profile to be indexed by Google. There is not a lot of information they can see though (you picture, your friends, etc) and Facebook users have the tools to turn any or all of these off.
